They are about 5.6 millimeters thick, so again, not the most aggressive, but definitely something that's going to get you unstuck in whatever situation you have. more

So, this isn't going to be the best for turning and stuff like that. I usually dislike having chains that have a little piece connecting these two here, but that's just me. They're still going to do the job. What makes these different from some of the others is just the massive link size that we get, about 5.6 millimeters, so these are going to be pretty beefy.As you guys can see, it does stick out a decent amount, especially compared to those twist links. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains on our 2020 Chevy Silverado.We are going to have a ladder-pattern-style chain, and it's all going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel, and it is going to be a case-hardened steel, so it is treated. It is going to resist against rust and corrosion, but also it is going to be wearing away relatively evenly because all of these square links are all the same size, about 5.6 millimeters. And this is going to be a little bit more aggressive chain compared to some of the more S-Class compatible low-profile chains, but we have plenty of wheel well clearance in the Silverado, so we're not going to have any issues hitting anything on the inside here, but it's definitely going to give us maximum traction compared to all the lower profile chains. The ones that'll probably be a little bit more aggressive than these is probably going to be the V-Bar style, but those are only for the really, really tough conditions that you guys may be in. But these, honestly, would probably still get you out of those tough conditions.What I really like about it is just the cam tensioners, just because we have a lot of different places to adjust, to make sure we get a nice and tight fitment. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chain on our 2020 Chevy Silverado.So these chains are going to be for your wide-based tires or even some of your dual tires. These are going to have a low-carbon construction, going to be extra hard, and they are going to wear away relatively evenly. It is going to take quite a bit, a couple of seasons, to start noticing that wear.These twist links are going to get a really good traction, but it's also going to be a little bit smoother than some of those big, chunky square links that you may see. As you can tell here, it is a ladder pattern style, so it isn't going to be as smooth as some of the less aggressive chains, but we're looking for the best grip, and these are going to give you pretty much one of the better grips of the more aggressive style chain, but we're still going to get a decent ride. So it's definitely the best of both worlds in my opinion.First thing we want to do is just lay out our chains, make sure there's no kinks in our links or anything like that. more

Adam: What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Pewag all square snow tire chains for your wide base tires or your dual tires on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. What we have here is going to be a ladder pattern style chain. It is going to have square links and it does have a case hardening on it as well, so it is going to wear away a little bit slower than some of the chains that don't. As you guys can see here, we are going to have a pretty, relatively big link size, about 5.6 millimeters thick. So, that is going to be pretty aggressive chain. more

Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2019 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Colin: Hey everyone, it's Colin here at etrailer and today we have a 2019 Chevy Equinox. We're going to go ahead and do a test fit of these Konig Standard Snow tire Chains. These chains have a diamond pattern to them and they get that name from the diamond shape that they make in between the cross-links. It's going to give you much more coverage around your tire, especially if you compare it to a standard ladder pattern chain. It's going to give you better traction as well.We also have these dual sided D links. These are going to really dig into that snow and ice; going to get really good traction going front and back with these cross links and then side to side as well, with these links that go from front to back. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here@etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Titan diamond pattern tire chains. On our particular truck today we're going to be working with tire size 255 by 65 by 17 now my favorite thing about these is that they're going to be super easy to use. You're not going to have to lay on the ground and try to connect the chains down at the bottom of the tire. We're just going to wrap the chain around and come up here and clip it together. And from there on everything else will be right here in the open and really easy to get to. more

Ron: Hey everybody. Ron here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig's premium self-tensioning tire chains on our 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.So here's what our tire chains are going to look like once we have them our Equinox. Now one of my favorite things about these tire chains is the fact that we're going to be able to put them on without having to lay on the ground and get behind the tire because a lot of times we're going to have to drape them over, lay down on the ground and make our connection points but with these, it's going to be a lot simpler and we're not going to have to be in the snow.The links on our chains are going to be D shaped, so they're going to give us excellent traction in snow and ice and it's also going to have these icebreakers here which is going to help break up that ice that's on the road and give us better traction. Now the chain part of our tire chains have been made out of a manganese nickel alloy, which means they're going to be able to hold up to all that moisture from the snow and melting ice and even the road salt, and be really corrosion resistant, so our chains are going to last us a really long time.Our tire chains are going to have a self-tensioning self-centering device built in. That way, when we're driving, we don't have to worry about the chains coming loose or getting those rubber tire adjusters that we've seen with some other style chains. The really nice thing is they're going to use these metal bars here. more

Adam: Hi, everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chain on our 2019 Chevrolet Suburban. This is going to be a ladder pattern style tire chain. And as you can see, we are going to have quite a bit of gaps in between our cables, but these are extremely low profile so it's going to be a pretty smooth ride compared to some of the other more aggressive tire chains. We do have these spring rollers, which all are going to be made of a steel construction, so they're not going to rust away over time. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Konig self-tensioning tire chains on our 2018 Chevrolet Impala.So what sets these tire chains apart from some of the others It's an extremely easy install. I don't really have to get underneath my vehicle and on the ground to connect them in the back. I actually just fish the wire through and come up up top and connect them. Because if you're putting these on your tires there is probably snow on the ground. more

So this is going to be a relatively low profile tire chain. So these are S-A-E-S certified. So they will work with your low clearance applications, like on some Impala, we do have really minimal room in between our tire and our strut tire here. more

So we do have a nice diamond shaped pattern, which is going to give a lot of surface area when it is on your tire. It's going to give you a lot of traction to start and stop down on the road. Another thing I do have experience with other tire chains and a lot of them, you have to purchase tensioners to stretch throughout your whole entire chain, which Titan Chain included that right here. It's all included and it tightens up just as good as the other ones will. more
